Job Description



  • Design and implement Oracle Financials E-Business Suite Release 12 on Oracle 10g RAC
  • Maintain and support shared services and multiple modules of Oracle E-Business R12 environments
  • Support full development lifecycle of implementing Oracle Financial R12
  • Maintain availability of the production system and all supporting systems including development, patching and testing environments.
  • Schedule, test and coordinate patches to the Application Tier in the Development, Test and Production environments
  • Configure and maintain Application tier to ensure availability of forms, reports and presentation layer of the Oracle Applications
  • Upgrade server-side components for client software
  • Clone environments to support development or when required to replicate and test fix for a production problem
  • Monitor and request scheduled Application backups and perform Application recoveries
  • On-going tuning of Applications and Databases
  • Request and coordinate changes to the Application Tier and Database Tier through change management and code migration process
  • Coordinate changes to underlying infrastructure (ie. Operating system patches)
  • Perform Database recoveries when needed
  • Monitor alert logs and trace files that are generated
  • Perform daily database maintenance activities
  • Schedule and request changes to infrastructure if required by database (ie. Operating system patches)
  • Upgrade Technology executables and coordinate compatibility with Technical System and Hardware Administrator
  • Perform long-term capacity planning
  • Customize menus and responsibilities, change profile options and manage other sysadmin functions within Oracle application
  • Schedule concurrent programs that maintain the Applications (ie purging concurrent requests)
  • Add and configure new printers within the Oracle Applications
  • Maintain availability of concurrent managers and allocate sufficient processes for them.
  • Install and manage required Oracle SOA components
  • Install, configure and manage Single Sign-on process through Oracle application.
  • Install, configure and manage OBIEE application integration



  • 10 years of Oracle DBA and support experience with Oracle Financials 11i (11.5.10) and above. R12 experience is preferred
  • 5 Years of production support experience with Oracle RAC 9i/10g, Certified Oracle Professional is required
  • 5 Years of Oracle application architecture
  • 5 Years of Oracle application integration experience
  • 5 Years of Oracle application code migration product. STAT/Oracle E-Business is preferred
  • Certified System administrator on Unix and Windows platforms
  • Working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Identity Management product
  • Post secondary graduate of a Computer Science discipline
  • Proven experience with Oracle applications in an environment that includes UNIX/Linux servers, Oracle RAC database
  • Experience with Netbackup, RMAN and cloning Oracle Application environments, knowledge or NetApp storage is preferred
  • Teamwork is a key competency and candidate will work with Infrastructure technical support (i.e. dba’s, UNIX admin, backup and recovery, facilities, security, network etc.) as well as application technical and functional analysts
  • Knowledge of Hyperion install set and configuration
  • Ability to read, write and manipulate SQL as well as Unix shell scripting.
  • Experience with back up and restore scripting procedures and testing
  • Working knowledge of network topologies and protocols, especially TCP/ IP
  • Ability to document and follow policies and procedures
