Job Description

Job Summary:  Individual in this role will be responsible for developing new solutions as well as providing end user support and troubleshooting for multiple sites in a medium sized SharePoint 2007 farm. This individual will interface with IT for set-up and maintenance of SharePoint servers and with business users to analyze requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the MOSS environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop solutions for Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 platform
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting of Dev, QA and Production environments
  • Develop, test and deploy custom development code to the platform servers
  • Apply Service Packs and Updates within a predefined maintenance windo
  • Stay abreast of related technology and recommend future system enhancements, software purchases or system upgrades
  • Provide technical input to assist in development of project plans through detailed work breakdown structures and timeline estimations
  • Be able to multitask several competing requests by gathering or estimating task priorities

Candidate Qualification Requirements:

  • Have 5+ years of professional IT experience and 3+ years of SharePoint experience
  • Be able to lead the technical implementation of SharePoint 2007 projects
  • Practical hands-on experience developing SharePoint and .NET applications including: customizing the SharePoint Look and Feel using Master Pages, Cascading Sle Sheets and SharePoint Designer.  Developing, debugging and deploying custom Lists, Web Parts, and Workflows using Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer.  Impletmenting Infopath forms and workflow.
  • Have experience with rolling out an Intranet or Internet site built on Microsoft SharePoint technologies with limited resources for a medium size company
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well with others in a collaborative manner with minimum supervision
  • Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to qucikly assemble the big picture.  Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills including crisis management and resolution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong overall understanding of Microsoft Sharepoint technologies include SharePoint Architecture, Object Model, Configuration settings, Backup and maintenance and Permission and Security model
  • Experience with creating and designing Web User Interfaces for web applications as well as customizing Sharepoint Look and Feel with custom solutions
  • Knowledge and experience working with the following technologies:  ASP, HTML, Java Script, CSS, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, WSS and MOSS 2007, Transact SQL, SQL Server
  • Experience with Objection Oriented Design and Development using Visual Studio .NET
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems and web-sites management
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimum supervision
  • Ability to define, create and complete a technical task without a great deal of guidance
  • Must be capable of working flexible hours sometimes under pressure of agressive deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, communicate task status clearly and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members working remotely from various US and global locations
  • Must have strong technical foundation and strong problem solving skills

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Professional training in Microsoft SharePoint 2003 and/or 2007.
