SUMMARY:
The eBusiness organization is responsible to design, develop and maintain digital capabilities that enable Travelers to engage in a manner that attracts customers, builds loyalty and deepens relationships while differentiating the Travelers Experience. The eBusiness organization is looking for an Architect to join their team. This individual should have a combination of hands-on architecture experience as well as solid leadership skills to support Travelers eBusiness vision.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual will be involved at a strategic/tactical level to design, develop and implement major, highly complex projects supporting a business and/or technology area. The focus of this position will be around social media technology. Duties include:
-Has significant role in the creation, implementation and support of systems or applications
-Responsible for developing /implementing a tactical designs
-Responsible for multiple information systems projects of major business unit significance
-Assists in the execution of departmental and corporate programs
-Aid in steering the technology direction around the usage of social media platforms

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 8 years IT experience in enterprise, application, and information architecture design.
4 yr degree in related field
Solid Leadership skills
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Social Media, Analytics, UI design, Mobile technologies, Web Content
Experience managing the application delivery process is a plus.
Experience in people, product and/or project management is a plus.
Experience working in a matrixed organization is a plus.

Technical Knowledge
Has a broad conceptual understanding of capabilities and direction of technology particularly in the development of UI, backend social media and web technologies. Has an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of business environment necessary to support assigned projects. Knowledge of common social media technologies (Javascript, php, noSQL etc.) as well as familiarity with Facebook SDK, twitter API, linkedIn API etc. are essential. Knowledge of mobile development is required as well as the ability to quickly learn new API and platforms.

Provides direction and effectively leads by example to ensure that all services are meeting the stated business objectives on a timely basis with excellent quality, at a reasonable cost. Demonstrates flexibility, anticipates customer needs, and effectively communicates in a manner consistent with the audience. Experience working with marketing and insurance is ideal.

Demonstrates advanced analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are often novel and not readily defined, lack knownprecedent or appear contradictory. Able to develop solutions by applying accepted processes or creating new approaches to leverage technology from abstract information. Sees the big picture, and is fully aware of technology and business directions. Has experience building/maintaining highly robust and scalable applications or services.
