Proactively manage the order file and process customer orders in SAP in a timely and efficient manner free of errors. The Order Management Representatives are the front line communicator with our customer base and provide industry leading service levels to Morton/Windsor Salt customers. In addition, to provide support to the Sales / Marketing and Supply Chain departments ensuring all orders and deliveries of our products are made in a timely and accurate fashion exceeding customer expectations. Major Responsibilities: • Processing of customer orders received via telephone, fax, electronic data interchange (EDI), and mail to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders. • Collaborate with sales, marketing and retailers to adjust and/or correct orders as needed. • Orders processed expediently and accurately including but not limited to:* o Resolution and re-determination of price variances o Correct incompletes in order file o Daily review of order blocks o Analyze fill-rate of orders • Provide highest level of customer service and support to business partners and retailers. • Accurately maintaining customer data base, tax exemption files and special order instructions. • Interact with sales, marketing, customer care, production facilities, quality assurance, and transportation to ensure that customer’s expectations are met. • Retailer/ Sales team order maintenance requests processed in accordance with order management policies and procedures* • Sales Team informed regarding potential issues with meeting retailers’ requests (quantities, type, and/or timing)* • Ensure new customer locations are set up and verify completion.* • Accurately processing invoice adjustments as required. • Responsibilities may include customer’s ordering and scheduling of shipments via company’s website and access of their internal system. • Order management skills continually enhanced and best practices shared throughout the organization Major Qualifications: • Degree in Business, Marketing and/or Communications • 3- 5 years of customer service experience. • Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills required. • Must be well organized, able to work under time constraints and have the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines as set by manager. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with customers, peers, management and other departments. • Must have the ability to work independently solving problems on orders by reaching out to key stakeholders and analyzing the order file in order to make accurate decisions on execution. • Pro-active approach to job responsibilities is a must. • Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and demonstrate excellent problem solving and decision making skills. • Intermediate knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, AS400, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes. • Must have strong computer systems experience and abilities to process through complex order management system. SAP experience strongly preferred. • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekend coverage.
