Job Description
The National Field Development Team is a team charged with the execution of the In-Home Senior Leadership’s vision for reporting, analytics and decision support tools. As a member of the team, the National Field Developer/Analyst’s role is to participate in the initiation, management, and/or development of multiple projects encompassing both field and IT based resources. Primarily, this role will develop reporting and analytics tools designed around our constantly evolving business needs. Development will be done in a manner which attains the highest levels of accuracy and precision while also achieving product that remains focused on the internal/external customer, scalable to the highest levels, and IT supportable.

Job Responsibilities:
Project Management
•Develop and work with IT to maintain mainframe to web applications and reporting tools
•Develop and document business requirements from anecdotal information gather through field interviews.
•Provide ongoing mentorship of associates in related positions throughout the In-home field organization
•Plan and implement end user acceptance tests and field systems test/pilots plans
•Design and implement business reports using appropriate reporting tools
•Ensure that all business objectives and requirements are communicated clearly and accurately to the appropriate IT development teams
•Create written functional specifications to IT project teams
•Create Opportunity Evaluations and Project Proposals in accordance with the Sears Systems Development Methodology for the development of new systems
•Partner with field and national support managers by providing advice and guidance regarding risks and benefits associated with reporting and analytics projects
•Document specifications for business reporting requirements
•Develop program release strategies, rollout plans, project timelines
•Create field training and documentation for reporting and analytics tools
•Ensure those business issues or questions that are related to systems development projects are answered or resolved


Specific Essential Functions:

•Ability to provide business decision support analysis including data queries, data analysis, Ad Hoc reports, marketing analysis with the use of appropriate analysis/reporting tools such as Query Man and SQL Server 2005.
•Ability to demonstrate and foster teamwork with the Districts, Regions, Other In-Home Sears Support units, and Home Office IT
•Strong knowledge of computers, technology (such as SQL, ASP, VBA, VB, Java and JavaScript) and software applications and tools (such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Teradata SQL Assistant, Information Advantage, SQL Server)
•The ability to derive/produce project requirements, measurements, deliverables, and benefits within a interview environment
•Understanding of the business and has the ability to communicate the goals of Home Services to any level of our business
•Participate and/or manage joint development workshops to develop project design models
•Ability to work remotely and maintain a team environment/mentality
•Ability to re-prioritize work based upon financial benefits and resource
