- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws. - Accomplishes gross profit and sales goals in the generics segment. - Analyzes the profitability of new product proposals, bids, and rebate agreements. - Develops and improves supplier relationships. - Identifies and executes on-market opportunities learned on the supplier-side of the business through the Sales/Marketing teams. - Identifies and guides the company to new market specialties for the Sales team to focus on/succeed in. - Manages with other Purchasing personnel the optimal inventory breakdown and achieves company inventory turns objectives. - Studies market pricing to ensure Anda is competitive from a costing and pricing perspective on an individual item basis. - Works to identify opportunities to increase generic gross profit and develop plans to execute. - Works with external manufacturers to develop sponsored sales programs and promotions to help increase Anda sales in the various trade classes. - Works with external manufacturers to improve shipment scheduling and ensures proper service levels are maintained. - Performs related duties as assigned. - Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements. - Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. - Business and personal computer hardware and software applications, including Microsoft applications. - Experience with SCORE buying system, TPS and/or JDE. - Current Company policies and practices, including safety rules and regulations. - Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. - Ability to read, write and understand documentation in English. - Establish and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. - Providing excellent customers service with both internal and external customers. - Ability to analyze and perform profitability models necessary. - Excellent quantitative and organizational skills. - Good verbal, written, computer and interpersonal skills are required. Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited college or university, and minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior work experience at Anda preferred.
