Carries out responsibilities in accordance and compliance with all company policies, procedures, state, federal, and local laws, including safety rules and regulations. Develops, implements, and executes strategies to support key online and web-based business initiatives. Executes and carries out the strategy, design, planning, development, deployment, and ongoing management of Watson's global and U.S. internet/intranet web sites. Coordinates the development and execution of internal/external communication strategies across various multi-media platforms and browsers Drives strategy for search engine marketing and SEO initiatives and make recommendations for performance optimization. Keeps abreast of emerging technologies in digital media, online communications, industry trends, and monitor pharmaceutical industry resources to maintain competitive advantage. Identifies opportunities and develop content strategies to increase web site traffic, usage, accessibility, and services across internet/intranet websites to improve user experience. Collaborates with technical developers, graphic design teams and work cross-functionally with internal business teams to ensure online projects support business goals and complement corporate interactive media strategies. Maximizes the exposure of online marketing programs, working with marketing teams to develop innovative marketing strategies which leverage internet technologies. Ensures web site content is current and compliant from a regulatory, quality, privacy, corporate communications, and healthcare compliance perspective. Provides training for new interactive/digital content owners. Manages corporate resources, vendor resources, and 3 rd party providers to ensure successful deployment of web-based technologies and integration into corporate process workflows. Reviews, evaluates, and reports web site traffic metrics to propose updates to site content, features, and functionality. Performs related duties as assigned. - Sales & Marketing practices in the pharmaceutical industry. - Pharmaceutical website content, site creation and management technology. - Information architecture and modeling techniques, such as wireframes. - Data governance and content management methodology. - E-Business methods, technology and software applications. - Digital media design standards, best practices, Web site information architecture, and usability principles, including but not limited to: web technologies and applications, web development and design, online operations, content management systems, email marketing, social media/mobile platforms, online advertising, SEO, e-marketing, and brand consistency. - Marketing metrics and web analytics technology. - Content guidelines for traditional/interactive media and writing and editing for the Web. - Domain name acquisition and management. - FDA and other industry-specific compliance regulations and requirements. - Current Company policies and practices, including regulations and safety rules. - Translating business communication requirements into technology solutions. - Communicating clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing. - Interactive/Online/Digital /Web project methodologies. - Managing multiple, high-visibility projects in a complex, diverse, and highly regulated environment. - Prioritizing multiple work streams to meet all required deadlines. - Designing and developing high-visibility, high traffic web sites which maximize end-user visitation frequency and duration. - Strong facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, multi-tasking, problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills. - Working independently and in a collaborative team environment. - Influencing internal customers as to the value of the marketing program. - Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Google Web Master Tools, social media business tools, including collaboration, monitoring, and workflow. - Understanding of basic principles of HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JAVA, PHP, ASP, Flash, and graphic design applications such as Adobe CS suite-Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in sales & marketing or related field, and a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years sales & marketing experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
