The Data Securities Research & Acquisition Manager role brings a thorough understanding and background in securities data. The position is responsible for determining, leading and managing activities related to securities data research and acquisition by researching, identifying, evaluating and managing new strategic data acquisition and partnership opportunities. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Identify Sources Conduct industry research and targeted contact information acquisition. Identify and qualify organizations with potentially valuable securities data collections (loan records - student, auto, mortgage, etc.), both static and monthly payment data. Monitor competitive landscape and partnerships and adjust strategy as needed. Report on detailed status of past, current and future data acquisition activities. Build Relationships to Acquire Data Manage dozens of relationships and pipelines, concurrently. Prioritize opportunities based on value of data and likelihood of success. Negotiate Terms Conduct phone, email and in person outreach to build relationships and negotiate data terms with record sources and organizations. Negotiate terms, price and other details with partners and vendors. Product Development Work with Product Development to integrate new data into ongoing product opportunities and promote to users. Continued Sourcing Form go forward policies and procedures related to future data acquisition and partnerships of this type as well as procedures for acquiring updated data. Respond to internal and external inquiries related to CoreLogic's use of data in order to facilitate acquisition and further partnerships. Manage retention of existing data contributors by working closely with data operations partners and compliance to ensure timely and continued contribution of data.Education Master's degree preferred Experience Four plus years industry experience working with securities data/on a trading desk Two plus years acquisition experience International data acquisition experience a plus Knowledge/Skills Strong negotiation skills High level of professionalism to represent CoreLogic Presentation skills Interpersonal skills to build relationships Strong research skills to identify opportunities and build relationships Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong written and oral communication skills Understand data relationships Experience with relational database and/or SQL CoreLogic offers an empowered work environment that encourages creativity, initiative and professional growth and provides a competitive salary and benefits package.
