Job Description
The Account Manager develops and maintains commercial accounts in several defined market segments, selling a variety of hard-line products and related services to B2B clients, with a primary focus on new business development in the Hospitality market segment. This position is responsible for the effective entry into the Hospitality segment by developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts at hotel management companies, hotel brands and hotel property operators. This outside selling position demands a high degree of self-motivation, and well developed key account planning, organization and time management skills. Also requires excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to present both product and service solutions of the company in response to the unique needs of each client. Emphasis is on new business development, relationship selling and as applicable, utilization of the Appliance Select Centers. The Account Manager's Appliance Select sales are supported by the selection consultant(s) and local order manager in the Appliance Select Centers. Sales into other segments are ordered and managed by the Account Manager utilizing our online Customer Relationship (Salesforce.com) and order management system, with the National Customer Care Center supporting delivery activities and some customer inquiries.
Qualifications:
* College, technical and/or continuing education desired
* Experience in the home building industry, including extensive knowledge and expertise within the custom/upscale appliance segment
* Multi-lingual preferred
* PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, contact management and order management programs, etc. and internet)
* Travel - Account managers work from their homes and drive to their client’s business locations to make sales calls. Must have valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and proof of insurance at the limits required by the company.
