Combat Operations Center Analyst at the Operational Forces Tactical Systems Support Center (OFTSSC), Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Camp Pendleton, CA. Works in a support center environment on C4I systems. Must be willing to travel for exercise and operational requirements, including up to three months in Afghanistan, if required. Must have an active US government security clearance. Operational experience required, USMC experience desired. Scope: Current COC Capabilities Set Required Skills Familiarity with expeditionary shelters (BASE-X, DRASH) Familiarity with Tactical Generator and HVAC systems (MEP, COC GETT, ECU etc) and electrical grounding. Generator Technician training ideal, not required. General knowledge/experience of Command Center operations. Knowledge of basic COC peripheral equipment setup and configuration (plotters, printers, smartboard, projectors, etc). Functional knowledge of Video Tele-Conference (VTC) and Voice over IP (VOIP) technologies and equipment (including H.265 calling, protocols, etc). Functional knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies (Windows and Exchange). MCSE ideal, but not required. Experience with Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device configuration, and troubleshooting, to include functional knowledge of RAID technologies. Experience with Video Servers ideal (Windows-based such as Jupiter, experience with dedicated video processing systems such as Extron beneficial). Intermediate to Expert level experience with Cisco networking (IOS, NX-OS experience is not applicable). CCNA ideal. Familiarity with administration of Global Command and Control System (GCCS) or Intelligence Operations Server (IOS) V1, version 4.x preferred. Configuration of Common Operational Picture (COP) feeds, channels, and networking also desired. Operational experience as User or Administrator of core Intelligence systems such as the Intelligence Operations Server (IOS) V3, Intelligence Operations Workstation (IOW) v1/v2, MarineLink, and/or Joint Deployable Intelligence Support Suite (JDISS) preferred. Familiarity with Operation and/or Administration of the Command Post of the Future (CPOF) server(s) and client(s) desirable, particularly the integration of TMS track data in the CPOF COP, as well as configuration of the Publish and Subscribe Server (PASS) service. Operational experience with Army Battle Command System (BCS) such as MCS and CPOF is acceptable. Familiarity with ground-support communications systems is ideal (particularly, AN/PRC-119, AN/PRC-117, AN/PRC-150). Experience with setup and configuration of WAN communications systems (AN/TRC-170, AN/MRC-142A/C, AN/TSC-154, AN/TSC-156, SWAN) also beneficial. Experience with Administration and Configuration of General Dynamics Digital Switching Units (DSUs), Distributed Scalable AccessNet (DSAN) software, and/or General Dynamics LongArm Software Suite is preferred. At a minimum, operational experience with creating Templates and Mission Plans using AccessNet software is required. Basic UNIX experience, including familiarity with CLI scripting. Solaris and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ideal. Basic software experience with Windows XP, System Security Administration (Security+, CNSSI Level II), and Windows Server technologies are required. Experience working with virtualization technologies (specifically, VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3.x) is highly desirable. Experience with other virtualization products, such as XenApp, xVM, Hyper-V, VMware Server/Workstation, VMware ESXi, and/or VirtualBox are ideal. Basic Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and/or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) administration skills are desirable. Scope: Future/Planned COC Capabilities Set Required Skills (2+ years out) Configuration and troubleshooting of Storage Area Networks (SANs) to include iSCSI technologies, World-Wide Naming (WWN)/Zoning configuration and concepts, and iSCSI networking. FibreChannel networking is a plus. VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3.x installation, configuration, administration, backup and management experience. VMware VSphere 4.0 is a plus. Basic Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 experience. Microsoft Exchange 2007, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, Essential Job Functions Designs, develops and implements new methods and procedures of the technical solution that meets the requirements of the project. Designs may involve major and highly complex systems. Assesses existing systems and recommends technical improvements (e.g., performance upgrades). Provides detailed documentation of moderately complex system specifications, including system scripts, system installation procedures, system backup and recovery techniques and system test methods. Recommends, establishes business case, and assists project manager and others in building acceptance of new proposed program modifications, methods, and procedures. Conducts and provides moderately complex cost/benefit analysis for new proposed program modifications, methods, and procedures. Defines system objectives and design specifications in collaboration with business analyst and/or project manager. May establish moderately complex operational databases, software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation to enhance system efficiency. Maintains file servers and network access; documents and analyzes more complex system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. Defines controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans, may include user training and orientation. Assists in leading technical collaboration outside of project team, for example, company lines of service, client IT, vendors, subcontractors. Represents company in new technology planning and takes lead in assessing emerging technologies. Assists clients in articulating and defining their business requirements and assists in preparing the business case justification for technical investment decisions.
