Our Virginia Beach, VA office is currently looking to hire a PROJECT MANAGER (PM II). 

General Duties:

This person will perform project management duties and will lead/supervise project teams in the planning, design, and construction administration of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure facilities, to include:

• Water and Sewer Pump Stations

• Sanitary Sewer Evaluation and Rehabilitation

• Large Diameter Pipelines

Other Duties: 

• Leading Sewer System Evaluation Studies (SSES)


• Design and construction administration of large diameter pipeline rehabilitation and replacement projects


• Design and construction of large water and sewer pump stations


• Rehab of major water and sewer systems


• Development of work plans (scope, schedule, and budget) and supervision of other team members. 

The responsibilities of the Project Manager II include but are not limited to:

• Client Interaction

• Proposal Development / Business Development

• Interview Preparation and Participation

• Scope and Fee Development

• Scheduling 

• Budget Management

• Project Management

• Construction Administration

Specific Requirements:  

• Minimum of 10 years experience as a consulting engineer and project manager in the municipal water/wastewater industry.

• Large diameter pipeline experience.          


• Extensive experience with major water and sewer pump stations


• Background in the evaluation and rehabilitation of major sewer systems


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.        


• Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities.                    


• Experience mentoring and supervising other engineering professionals.


• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field


• Professional Engineering Registration in Virginia or able to achieve through reciprocity


• Experience in water and wastewater treatment and stormwater related projects is a plus
