General Duties:    
As our Rail Project Manager you will plan and conduct work using a high level of judgment.  You will use your skills when required to problem solve by independently evaluating, modifying and selecting unconventional and/or complex techniques, procedures and criteria.  Responsibilities will include being accountable for the development, coordination and execution of project design activities.  This includes initiating and/or escalating the resolution/correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project as scheduled and budgeted.  You will coordinate resources for the project and/or assign work on projects.  Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, supervise/lead and technically direct projects is required.  You will initiate and maintain continuous client contact from the project's proposal stage to project completion and provide overall project direction to the project team(s), while providing information about the status of the project to others in the organization.  

Specific Requirements:
This position requires an engineering degree with a PE designation and 10 or more years' experience performing design and management of rail related transportation projects. Knowledge of freight and transit rail is essential as well as local, state and federal environmental regulations.  Microstation and Geopak is essential with other CAD programs desirable.  You must possess the ability to devise new approaches and solutions for problems encountered while executing projects and be able to communicate this information to other team members.
